D. Important Notes
-
Students who have already paid tuition for the current semester must submit a leave of absence application with supporting documents by the final registration deadline (March 12, 2026, at 4:00 PM) in order to receive a full tuition refund.
-
This special leave of absence will not be counted toward the maximum period of general leave of absence (up to 8 semesters).
-
Students may alternatively apply for a general leave of absence instead of a special leave of absence (please refer to the separate announcement regarding leave of absence during the semester).
-
Once approved, a special leave of absence cannot be withdrawn because the tuition refund process will begin immediately.
-
Special leave of absence may affect visa status. Therefore, international students must complete the Global Services Center survey before submitting an application.
-
Students who do not apply for special leave of absence and are unable to attend classes may face disadvantages related to tuition, grades, and academic progress. Due to differences in course formats and requirements, in-person classes cannot be universally converted to online instruction.
